Teenage girl dug up to be 'corpse bride'. I think this is bizarrely sweet! In 2009 five people were arrested in China for digging up the corpse of a young woman to be a "ghost bride" for a man killed in a car crash. The suspects included a grieving father who allegedly paid his four accomplices nearly $4,300 to find a female to be his son's companion in the afterlife.

The men were caught after unearthing the remains of a teenage girl who had poisoned herself after failing her university entrance exams last year, a newspaper in Xianyang in China's Shaanxi province reported.

In rural China, villagers have for centuries sought out the bodies of recently deceased woman to be ghost brides for young men who die single.

Marriage ceremonies are conducted for the two corpses, and the bride is placed in the same grave as her husband.

Last year, a gang in southern China was arrested for strangling young women to sell as ghost brides when the supply of female corpses in their area ran short.

Supernatural Entertainment featuring Lior Suchard at The Lounge at the Palms. We went to Lior's pre-opening show on Tuesday night. Behind us at a reserved table was Las Vegas man-about-town regular Robin Leach with his must-have accessory - a cluster of very young, blond women. Does well-fed Robin call an extra casting agency or an escort service for his "dates"? Does Robin have an account at a strip club to supply women for his media "appearances"? None of the women actually talked to Robin. Not to be outdone by Robin, I brought my boy-toy husband along as my date.

Lior is appearing for five weeks every Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m. beginning Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010. Tickets are $43 and $63. This is a return to Las Vegas for Suchard who previously performed as the opening act for the legendary, great Joan Rivers.

Be warned: Lior's assistants are the audience. I turned Lior down – I couldn't take my ring off - but John contributed to the show.

Lior Suchard is a supernatural entertainer and mentalist. Lior was chosen by the celebrated mystifier (and our dear friend) Uri Geller as his official successor. In fact, to guarantee our seats, I sent the PR firm photos of me with Uri! Lior has performed with enormous success in 42 countries all over the world. Lior, very charming and engaging, was impressive. It's a tough act since Lior uses no props except the audience. Ethiopia, Part 2. Lucy. In Addis we visited the rundown National Museum and viewed 'Lucy', a hominid skeleton that is 3.5 million years old. 'Lucy', the incredibly famous artifact of early humans, is tucked away in a back room without much fanfare. The presentation was dismal. Somebody – dust the place!

It is as if the Louvre put the Mona Lisa in an unlit back room.

'Lucy' was discovered by scientists in 1974 during an excavation in the Danakil Desert in north-east Ethiopia. Part of the Great Rift Valley is located in Ethiopia and is the place where some of the most important fossil discoveries to throw light on the early development of the human species have been made.

The skeleton was nicknamed 'Lucy' after the Beatles' hit, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.

The discovery was a sensation at the time as 'Lucy' was the first complete skeleton of the species Australopithecus afarensis that walked upright on two legs.

Ark of the Covenant. How many men did God kill because someone decided to peek into the ark of the Lord? Answer: 50,070.

"And he smote the men of Bethshemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the Lord, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people lamented, because the Lord had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter." (1 Samuel 6:19)

The origins of the Ethiopian Orthodox church go so far back that it claims to have the original Ark of the Covenant that contained the Ten Commandments. Ethiopians firmly believe that King Solomon, who ruled over Israel in 10 B.C., played an important role in Ethiopia's history.

According to legend, Queen Makeda, who ruled northern Ethiopia, gave birth to a boy named Menelik whose father was King Solomon.

When Solomon declared Menelik to be King of Ethiopia, Menelik took with him from Jerusalem not just hundreds of rabbis, but also the Ark of the Covenant and the tablets with the Ten Commandments.

Ethiopians call the Ark the Tabot. They believe the Tabot, which no one is allowed to see, is the original Ark and is housed in the Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion in Aksum behind the red curtain.

Copies of the Ark are housed in every Ethiopian church and on each church's feast day, priests carry the copy in procession.

I used my notable skills of persuasion and pleadings once I spotted a yellow-clad figure on the building's balcony. With much begging, and without anyone around knowing exactly what was happening, I was led to the gate by a man who said he knew the Keeper. The Keeper was asked and he agreed to come out to see me.

All the cameras had been locked away since the museum had forbidden any photographs of its musty treasures. Without alerting the group, I rushed to the gate and the Keeper came out in his ceremonial robes. The Ethiopian men kissed the large crucifix he held and then touched it to their foreheads and chins. I did the same. Then came the blessing and I was told to pray with the Keeper in my language. I said The Lord's Prayer out loud.

I was ecstatic – in a state of grace - for two days!

Italians Tried to Colonize Ethiopia – twice! First the Italians, now the Chinese! Even though the Ethiopians proudly proclaim they fought colonization by the Italians, their past presence is everywhere. The Italians restored and used Ethiopian palaces for their military staging operations (and stripped monastery walls of paintings).

Haile Selassie I was Emperor of Ethiopia from 1930 to 1974. The heir to a dynasty that traced its origins to the 13th century, and from there by tradition back to King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba, "His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah, and Elect of God" is a revered figure throughout the country.

On August 26, 1942, Haile Selassie I issued a proclamation outlawing slavery! The total number of slaves in early twentieth-century Ethiopia is estimated at between two and four million in a total population of about eleven million. Statistically, that means if you owned a cow, a goat, or even a chicken, you also owned a slave!

A Mass Alien Invasion Happened on October 13! You Missed It? I did. It's being called an ethical extraterrestrial 'decloaking' or landing. Remember where you were when Princess Diana died? Well, where were you on October 13th?

On Oct. 13, 2010, a date on which Stan Fulham, a retired NORAD officer, wrote that channelings from a 40,000 strong group of dimensional souls stated that October 13, 2010 was the tentative date for a fleet of extraterrestrial vehicles to hover for hours over the earth's principal cities.

A summary of the UFO sightings on planet Earth on October 13, 2010 included an alleged mass UFO sighting over New York City, an alleged disappearance of an entire village in the Qinlin mountains (China), UFOs over the Golden Gate Bridge (San Francisco), UFO sightings in Malaysia, Ohio and in Texas.
