Hay House I Can Do It! (Part 2), Gregg Braden, Phil Spector’s Trial on Courttv, A Second Assassin?, Movies This Week, June 17 Healing Session at Five-Buddha Shrine, and more...
Hay House “I Can Do It!” Conference, Part 2. The number of attendees swelled to 5,000 for Saturday’s (May 19th) Opening Welcome by Louise Hay followed by a Morning Keynote address by Bill Philllips on “Transformation: You Have the Power and Ability to Change.” I had to choose between eight concurrent 2-hour workshops that were held from 11:30AM to 1:30PM. I chose right. I chose Gregg Braden’s workshop called “The Divine Matrix: Shattering the Paradigm of False Limits.”
It takes a lot to impress me. Gregg Braden did. Braden ignores the New Age goose-step of “All You Need Is Love (and Forgiveness)” for a workshop explaining hallowed scientific dogmas and where it has gone so wrong. In 1944, scientists announced the discovery of a matrix of pure energy — The Divine Matrix — that holds the blueprint for everything from the birth of stars and the DNA of life to the miracle of healing. To tap this matrix, Braden shared new discoveries that reveal why we are no longer limited by the “laws” of science as we know them today. Gregg Braden » Home
Jesus knew the secret and shared it, but says Braden, the Church removed it from the Gospels. Braden chose Matthew 21:22 to explain one of the Divine Matrix revelations: “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” Braden says the original Aramaic version said that you must ask without a hidden motive and be surrounded by your desire. You must make your future dream a present fact and assume the feeling of your wish fulfilled. Amazon.com: The Divine Matrix: Bridging Time, Space, Miracles, and Belief: Books: Gregg Braden
Braden’s message was this: “The feeling is the prayer.” Do not pray for what you want. Feel what you want as if it already happened.
As a direct example of what Braden’s says is actually happening (“Beliefs Change Matter”), he showed us a tape of a woman being treated at a medicine-less hospital in China, the Huaxia Zhineng Qigong Clinic & Training Center, located in the city of Fengrun, two hours by train from Beijing. The Center is directed by its founder, Dr. Pang Ming, a Qigong grandmaster and physician trained in both Western and Chinese traditional medicine.
Over the years, the Center has treated more than one hundred and eighty diseases, the overall success rate being more than 95%.
ChiLel, the method employed in the Center, is based on the 5,000-year-old concept of qigong. Dr. Pang has written more than nine books on ChiLel. There are an estimated eight million ChiLel practitioners in China.
Braden showed a video of a woman being treated by ChiLel teachers. The woman’s cancerous bladder tumor was viewed on a screen via an ultrasound machine and monitored by doctors. The tumor literally started shrinking and then disappeared completely as the teachers chanted a word over and over again. Braden says it doesn’t even matter what the word is.
For Saturday afternoon’s 2 hour workshop, I chose the controversial Stuart Wilde (I still can’t get over his outrageous Redeemer’s Club membership fee!). I enlisted John to attend some of the other workshops. I will report fully on Stuart Wilde’s philosophy, techniques, and personal revelation of The Morph (he promised to take the group into The Morph where people actually de-materialize) in next week’s column.
David R. Hawkins, M.D., PH.D. workshop was called “Power vs. Force: Exploring the Levels of Human Consciousness.” A spiritual teacher and mystic, David R. Hawkins’ session promised to raise attendees consciousness to the levels of power, rather than force, and allow one to become someone who is awake and aware in this world.
John reports: “David Hawkins began with a standing ovation from several hundred attendees. His presentation included recital of many of the transcendent experiences that have permeated his life and resulted in over 35 years of research into the nature of consciousness. Addressing several established scientific principles, Hawkins noted that, despite claims by skeptics, no conflict existed between science and spirituality/ religion. Contrary to the current raging debate, he stated that creation and evolution are the same, not antithetical. http://www.amazon.com/Power-vs-Force-Determinants-Behavior/
Dr. Masaru Emoto spoke on “The Healing Power of Water.” John reports as follows: “Emoto’s research shows that molecules of water respond to human thought and emotion. Emoto’s message is “To love yourself is to love and thank all of existence.” Emoto lectured (assisted by an extremely able interpreter) about his studies into the mystical healing powers of water. He noted that the universe is made up of vibrations, specifically sounds. In his terms, "water is the messenger of God" as it carries divine information.”
John next checked in to Byron Katie’s workshop called “Loving What Is Four Questions that Can Change Your Life.” Katie, founder of The Work, has one job: to teach people how to end their own suffering. When Katie appears, lives change. As she guides people through her simple and powerful process of inquiry, called The Work, they find that their stressful beliefs — about life, other people, or themselves — just aren’t true.
John reports: “Playing to a packed auditorium of several hundred, Byron Katie encouraged her audience to "get real" in their understanding of themselves and others. Assisted by several volunteers from the audience, she caused those individuals to look at problems from the standpoint that they created the issues. They were not, as many wanted to believe, things done to them by others in their lives. As Katie put it, "You're the one with the problem. God is reality.”
The Spector Trial. As you all know, legendary music producer Phil Spector is now, finally, on trial for the murder of Lana Clarkson. The limo driver said Spector came out of his house holding a gun and said: “I think I killed somebody.” I have the trial on and listen to the few hours of trial shown on Courttv. Courttv is changing its programming and brand. Already gone is Catherine Crier, with Nancy Grace leaving soon. Star Jones arrives in the fall. Trial junkies will have to make due with more police programs, John Waters, and less court proceedings on Courttv.
Charged four years ago, Spector has successfully stayed out jail by changing defense teams several times. With a 26 year old new wife at his side, 67 year old Spector also has a new face and blond page-boy wig. In 2005, in the chess room where Clarkson was found dead, Spector (pictured, wearing his old face and fright wig) made a video to defend himself against the accusations of murdering Clarkson. After discussing Lana’s apparent decision to kill herself at his rundown “castle,” Spector also talked about the other women coming forward and speaking out against him. Spector said they “just want to get on Inside Edition and make money.”
In the video Spector offers the women $100,000 to take a lie detector test. Holding up a signed check, he said: "Well, here's your chance to make money." Spector has chosen not to take a lie detector test himself. Rather, he’s hired the best attorneys money can buy. The appeals, in the unlikely event the “guilty-as-sin” Spector is found guilty, are already being written.
On Courttv, New York Post reporter Steve Dunleavy called Spector a “vindictive son of a bitch” and “a little rodent.”
Movies This Week. Opening June 1st, “Mr. Brooks” is a terrific thriller and Kevin Costner’s best performance ever. It is an intelligent serial killer thriller with twists and kinky characters. Costner and William Hurt are a sensational team.
Kevin Costner has stepped into a great villainous role. Earl Brooks is an extremely wealthy businessman and philanthropist. He’s Portland’s Man of the Year with an adoring, worshipful wife and a seductive daughter away at her first year of college.
My extensive library on serial killers, and The History Channel’s currently running series “Most Evil,” ignores one dominant feature of serial killers only I seem to recognize. To even suggest that serial killers achieve a higher level of orgasm alien to humanity would be dangerous – to say the least! Yet, consider this: Add up-close violent taking of a life in an unknown situation, the danger, the fear of getting caught, and the experience must be one eliciting a heightened sensation. You just can’t talk about this.
I don’t care what Jeffrey Dahmer said after he got caught. He was killing since he was a teenager. And even though his parents denied it, they knew. Why did his mother take his younger brother and one day just vanish?
As a film, “Mr. Brooks” is clear about the pleasure of serial killing. It shows it. However much Earl complains that he derives no pleasure – it’s an awful addiction like alcoholism – he is a professional, highly skilled serial killer. When Earl sneaks into a house he has scoped out and kills a couple making love, he gasps into an altered, orgasmic state. He then stages them and takes photos. He vacuums. He leaves no traces behind.
Earl’s demonic side has materialized into a life-long companion, the engaging Marshall (William Hurt). Marshall (like REAL demons who possess people in Malachi Martin’s ground-breaking book, “Hostage to the Devil”) knows many hidden things and cajoles, encourages, and enjoys Earl’s company. They are a fantastic team. Unlike demons who possess people in real life (who eventually destroy their host’s lives through reckless crimes, drug addiction, street prostitution, or going to a death penalty state to kill as Ted Bundy did), Marshall does not want to end up in prison or death row with Earl. He likes living, breathing and killing. He does everything he can to protect and advise Earl. They have been together a very long time.
Earl, through AA meetings and constant prayer, has not killed in two years. Being honored as Man of the Year unhinges him. He falls off the wagon. As we see Earl’s erotic execution of two people, Marshall notices that the window drapes are open. That’s bad news.
Earl gets an office visit from Mr. Smith (Dane Cook). He shows Earl photos of him at the murder scene. He doesn’t want money; he wants to be at the next murder. He’s the ultimate serial killer groupie. He wants a big bang for the rest of the photos.
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. A guaranteed blockbuster, Buena Vista held no promotional or press screenings. The reason floated was that they didn’t have to. Or, they knew the critics would attack before the opening weekend. I stood on line for a private, sponsored screening. Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) has left the franchise with a stiff pod replacing him. PC3 has no story I could follow, but that was my fault. I don’t understand Aramaic. Yes, the silliness of PC2 is gone, but so is Jack Sparrow. I’ll miss him. So will you.
The best acting in PC3 was by Jack, the Capuchin monkey, and rock star Keith Richards as Captain Teague. Why didn’t they give Richards more to do? They gave two pirates more scenes. Why didn’t Buena Vista give PC3 to fresh minds? If Depp really wants to do PC4, 5 and 6, he had better use his Hollywood power to court someone like “Pan's Labyrinth’s” Guillermo Del Toro to get onboard.
At nearly 3 hours, PC3 is torturous.
Lee Harvey Oswald Did Not Act Alone? Who’d have thunk it? Writing in the Annals of Applied Statistics, the researchers urged a reexamination of bullet fragments from the 1963 shooting in Dallas to confirm the number of bullets that struck Kennedy. Official investigations during the 1960s concluded that Kennedy was hit by two bullets fired by Lee Harvey Oswald.
But the researchers, including former FBI lab metallurgist William Tobin, said new chemical and statistical analyses of bullets from the same batch used by Oswald suggest that more than two bullets could have struck the president. "Evidence used to rule out a second assassin is fundamentally flawed," the researchers said in their article. "If the assassination (bullet) fragments are derived from three or more separate bullets, then a second assassin is likely."
Governor Connally’s (in cowboy hat) body contains crucial evidence regarding the assassination of Kennedy. After Connally’s death, his family refused to permit a very limited examination of the Governor’s body for the sole purpose of both x-raying and removing from his right wrist those bullet fragments that remain from the gunshot wounds that he received during the assassination. Why?
The potential significance of the evidence would have been great. The bullet fragments in the Governor’s wrist could have been compared ballistically and chemically to other pieces of ammunition allegedly associated with the assassination to determine whether or not they match the ammunition allegedly fired by Oswald, as well as whether they match the same bullet that was said to have struck President Kennedy.
Five Buddha Shrine Healing Session on June 17. At the I Can Do It Conference I met the abbot of The Las Vegas Five Buddha Shrine, Vajra Acharya Chanzhi Decheng (Dan Kendall). Join me and a group of friends I am assembling on June 17 to experience the free Healing Session that the Five Buddha Shrine holds every Sunday at 10:30 AM at their center at 3043 Garnet Center, Las Vegas, NV 89121. (702) 641-0522. Five Buddha Shrine.
Decheng performs Dharma Rites. A Dharma Rite is a Buddhist ritual prayer ceremony where a group of esoteric practitioners gather together and pray for a common goal.
All rites are conducted inside a mandala created and empowered by Living Buddha Dechan Jueren, by initiated disciples and practitioners of Anutara Tantra Yoga. Most commonly the Temple does dharma rites to help people overcome obstacles they are having with health, wealth, and luck. It is also common for people to commission a dharma rite for a deceased relative.
Some dharma rites are performed as a birthday celebration. It is a powerful blessing that will attract health, wealth, happiness and good fortune throughout the coming year. There are dharma rites for Luck Change (to turn bad luck around, improve your situation so things work out in your favor) and Healing (to purify the karma that is causing an affliction). The Temple helps to work out karma on a higher level, eliminating the need to experience physical pain, ill health, and disasters. When the karma is purified, an illness naturally disappears. (Photo of Living Buddha Dechan Jueren - Master Yu Tian Jian. Decheng spent two years traveling and assisting Living Buddha Dechan Jueren). If you are in Las Vegas and would like to join us on June 17th, email me at masauu@aol.com. All are welcome.
On Sunday, May 26th, Five-Buddha Shrine will teach a Buddhist Healing Certification Workshop using a mantra. The Workshop teaches advanced techniques designed specifically for healers by awakened Buddhist masters, combining mantra, mudra, and visualization. $160 contribution.
